Be willing to get it wrong – The World’s Top Leaders are Billionaires because they failed

Business leader’s have difficult decisions to make – they are responsible for building brand equity and double digit growth. With this consistent external and internal pressure they often become anxious, overwhelmed and fearful because they worrythey may get it wrong.

I would like to flip this thought process and ask ourselves ‘if we got it wrong and it delivered the best outcome anyone could have expected, did we actually get it wrong?’ Today’s best leaders are fearless billionaires because they did get it wrong at some point in their career. Michael Jordan, Richard Branson, Elon Musk are agile leaders who are willing to embrace failure.

Some of my favourite fearless quotes:

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” Michael Jordan

“Do not be embarrassed by your failures. Learn from them and start again.” Richard Branson

“Failure is an option here.  If things are not failing you are not innovating.”  Elon Musk

As we become more conscious of ourselves and our decisions, we can make better decisions by trusting our intuition; decisions aligned with our values, intentions and purpose. Finding the courage to listen to your inner voice aka your intuition and make more value-based decisions is an attribute of future leadership.

Sometimes we may be meant to get it wrong

Our decisions may seem wrong in the beginning, but on reflection, we realise now we are in a much better position for the initial difficult experience.

“The secret to being wrong isn’t to avoid being wrong. The secret is being willing to be wrong. The secret is realizing that wrong isn’t fatal.” – Seth Godin

For me it has required another level of faith. Give your intuition time to deliver you what is the results of the right decision for you and your business. How else can you really learn how to use and develop your decision making properly, then be willing to get it wrong and know what wrong feels like?

When you now know what feels wrong, you can then identify what feels right.

Be willing to get your decisions wrong this week. It will be a game changer for your life and your business in the longer term in creating and attracting the life you were meant to live.
